Give Me A Sign
International Sign Language Conference
Everyone communicates in their own way, whether it is verbally, by touch, or hand signals, for years we have found so many unique ways to connect and work together in unity. Deaf people have their own culture and are opened up to a new world in which they communicate through sign language. ” The Give Me A Sign ” international conference allows deaf people to unite and appreciate and thrive. There are deaf speakers that share their experiences hoping to bring awareness and inspire. The conference has interpreters so that everyone can appreciate the great experience.
A NEW INTERPRETATION ON LIFE
After the conference they hope that people will leave more educated, understanding, appreciative, inspired, and that they have a new interpretation on life.
The visuals are a collaboration of location and conference to create an elegant overall concept. The combination of Philadelphia, city of brotherly love and the hand sign for love is able to come together to create an exceptional inspiring international conference. From the poster to admission to the end of the conference, everything is signed to embrace deaf culture and understanding. Through the imagery, advertising and tickets they are all created to give people a better understanding and appreciation on deaf culture. The conference will take you on an empowering journey of life as a deaf person through the beautiful moments as well as the struggles.
The collateral for the conference is creatively designed with deaf puns and extravagant colors and typography that capture the togetherness, happiness, and unity of deaf people and how they are able to be apart of something so amazing. Each page turn of the brochure opens you up to a new world of information, inspired by beautiful layouts, typography and colors. The cleverness of the ticket creation was my favorite piece in the collateral because it is the sign for the ticket, and the hole punch is where the hand sign would interact.
